Stories Of Transformation - Ndiguini Primary School

The conceptualization of the Ndiguini Primary School project was informed by the dire need for an institution of learning for children in the community who used to walk tens of kilometers to schools in Kamangu and Gitutha.

In 2018, Kikuyu Constituency NG-CDF identified and acquired land for establishment of the school. Construction commenced in mid-2019 and so far the school constitutes Nine (9) classrooms and Three (3) 2-door pit latrines.

The school also hosts the Ndiguini water Project that was developed by The EABL Foundation courtesy of Kimani Ichung'wah. The project comprises a 330-metre deep borehole and a 24-cubic metre elevated water tower that provides sufficient water for the institution and the surrounding community. Kikuyu NG-CDF is constructing a modern administration block in the school this financial year 2023/24.

Ndiguini Primary, now a fully fledged registered school with staff deployed by the TSC led by Ms. Elizabeth Kimani and a population of over 200 pupils, has been a life changer for school going children and parents in this community.

The story of Ndiguinì Primary is one that transcends the realm of education. It is one of the belief that all people hold a special value and that they are entitled to their inherent dignity. This is exactly what this school has given to this community.
