Upgrade of the Kikuyu Police Station and District Security Command offices.
On 2nd July 2020, we handed over office furniture,Laptops, a PC, three in one printer for use by our security team in Kikuyu led by the OCPD and AP Commandant. We also discussed plans to modernize and upgrade the Kikuyu Police Station and District Security Command offices.
We later toured the now completed Kikuyu town Market funded by the World bank and which soon will be handed over to the county government for management after the stall allottees are allocated their stalls. We have insisted on a transparent and fair allocation of the stalls. We are grateful to the State department for Housing and Urban Development for the speedy completion of the market whose works we commissioned only two years ago.
We are grateful for the support we have gotten from the Worldbank’s IDA and the World Bank’s Urban Support Programs. The programs have seen us transform our town from a once muddy town into a modern town with tarmac roads, streetlighting, modern paved pedestrian walk ways, and a new commuter Railway station.
Soon under the World Bank’s Urban support program, kidfarmaco estate, Nderi-Mega-Kikuyu road, Gikambura shops road, Kinoo’s Wamakima road and Dagoretti market to slaughter house roads will benefit with tarmac roads as well as expansion of our bus park and Kinoo sewer.
We remain committed to Transforming Kikuyu.
