Painters and Decorators Training Program at Nachu TVC

Kikuyu Ward MCA James Kamau Boro and the Constituency Office team represented Kimani Ichug'wah during the launch of a painting & decoration training program at Nachu Technical & Vocational College.. The aim of the program is to equip them with the requisite skills to meet modern day client and industry needs. Over 300 aspiring and practicing painters and Decorators from Kikuyu and the surrounding sub-counties will participate in the the 4 day exercise.

This is part of a larger initiative to empower all skilled and unskilled Construction workers in Kikuyu Constituency to enable them leverage opportunities such as those provided by the ongoing and upcoming affordable housing Projects.

Visitors present included a team from Multi Workforce International led by It's CEO Mr. Peter Wolf, Nairobi Regional Director in the State department for TVETs Ms. Mariam Hassan Abdi, Lari Ward MCA Hon. Stephen Wamwere, Representatives from the National Construction Authority, Muthokinju Paints and Cement, Empower Transformers Ltd, Unity Homes and Floor Decor.
 
Nachu Technical and Vocational College with the help of the constituency office has partnered with these and other companies in the construction industry to facilitate learners with internship and employment opportunities during and after competion of their studies respectively.
