Commissioning The Thakiki Community Water Project, Kerwa, Sigona Ward.

Kimani Ichung'wah earlier today commissioned the Thakiki Water Project in Kerwa, Sigona Ward. The project is a CSR initiative by the EABL Foundation following a request by the MP in his continued efforts to address the challenge of water supply in every part of Kikuyu Constituency. He was accompanied by a team from the foundation, led by the Managing Director Mr. Erick Kiniti.

The project comprises a solarized 330-metre deep borehole and a 24 cubic meter water tower that's strategically positioned for easy distribution of piped water to homes in the area and throughout the larger kerwa.

The leadership of the Thakiki Community Welfare Scheme was lauded for the efficient management of the project. The benefactors of the project pledged to continue supporting the scheme to actualize their highly ambitious plans of tapping into this resource for income earning ventures.

This project is a solid demonstration of the power that lies in the community. When we come together around a common purpose, we create an environment of infinite opportunities for growth and development.
