Empowering Youth and Women Groups

Yesterday (11th March 2017), after paying last respect to a good friend, we joined groups in Kanyayo, Ndiguini, Ndacha and Gichuhiro as we issued the groups with economic empowerment cheques as seed capital for table banking. we also encouraged the groups to access empowerment funds eg Youth fund, women fund and Uwezo fund as these funds are available to groups.

Prize Giving Ceremony At Kidfarmaco Primary And Gaitumbi Water

Yesterday morning (6th April 2017) and early afternoon before proceeding to Parliament, we visited Gaitumbi village to see and support ongoing community work on digging trenches to lay piping for the Gaitumbi water project. We later attended the Kidfarmaco Pry school’s annual prize giving ceremony awarding two of last years top students with school fees for one academic year as promised last year.

Laying Foundation Stone at Gatune Police Post (Staff Quarters)

Yesterday (3rd March 2017),accompanied by the deputy OCPD Kikuyu, the OCS and ACC Karai we laid the foundation stone for the new staff quarters for Gatune police post. This is to improve the current living situation and also accommodate more officers at the post to beef up security in the area. Commissioning Of Musa Gitau-Kangiria-Riu Nderi Road

On 27th March 2017 we joined residents of Kangiria Riu nderi and other stakeholders of the Musa Gitau-Kangiria-Riu nderi road. We commissioned the road rehabilitation work and introduced the contractor to the people. This road falls under KERRA and therefore will be constructed and maintained by the national government. We also oversaw the creation of an oversight committee as we have always done,to monitor the contractors work ensuring quality work

Transforming Kinoo and Changing Lives

On Saturday 25th March 2017, we joined parents and students of mama Ngina primary school during the official opening of the multi storey academic block comprising of four classes a multi purpose hall and computer lab at the school fully funded by Kikuyu CDF. We shall embark on the next phase of the transformation of the school. Later we proceeded to Gaitumbi for the groundbreaking exercise for laying of pipes.

Inspecting The Ongoing Projects

On 22nd March 2017 we inspected ongoing NGCDF funded projects in Karai and Kikuyu wards at Gichuru Secondary(Academic Block), Gikambura Primary phase one facelift and Muhu Secondary multipurpose and dining hall. Earlier we attended the funeral of the late Wa Sarah at Karabuta Mbombo-ini in Nachu together with James Nyoro and Gakuyo. This family had a prolonged mourning of close to a month before laying their loved one to rest

Uwezo Fund Training

Meeting groups from Kikuyu constituency earlier on today (1st March 2017) during the final day of their three day training at Musa Gitau Multipurpose hall. 52 groups attended the workshop facilitated by Uwezo fund on groups capacity building through access to government procurement opportunities. Celebrating 10 Years of Service at PCEA Gikambura

Yesterday Morning (19th Feb 2017) we joined the congregation of PCEA Gikambura in a service to celebrate ten years of service in the church of elder Samuel Mugwanja. Addressing the congregation, I have called on peaceful and agenda based campaigns devoid of insults, handouts and propaganda. We announced the securing of a Kshs. 56Million budgetary support towards the presidential food security program that will see farmers in Karai and Nachu
