In the financial year 2014/2015 KES 2,000,000 was allocated to the school for rehabilitation of classrooms (plastering, flooring and painting).
Gichuru Memorial Sec School is a mixed day school located in Karai ward with a population of about 340 pupils. In the financial year 2014/2015, Kshs 2,000,000 was allocated for construction of one classroom and stair case.
The tanks at the Karai Muslim Water project site were not enough to supply water to the residents. The project was allocated Kshs. 500,000 in the financial year 2014/2015 to purchase 24 m3 water tanks.
Riu-Nderi primary School is a relatively new school in Karai ward with about 300 pupils. During the financial year 2012/2013 the school received KES 2,500,000 for the construction of two classrooms. The first phase is now complete and in use.
There was a dire need for a new modern toilet following the state in which the old toilets were and increasing number of pupils in this learning institution. In the financial year 2013/2014 KES 864,320 was allocated for completion of the project.
Mai-i-ihii water project had an existing borehole and a small tank which could not hold enough water to supply to the residents. The CDF allocated Kshs 1,500,000 during the financial year 2013/2014 to construct a high capacity water tower to hold 2×24 m3 tanks and Kshs 1,000,000 in the financial year 2014/2015 for purchasing and laying of water distributing pipes to homes.
There was an urgent need to provide a water source for the people of Kahero.Water sources were seemingly scarce in the area therefore CDF intervened to provide an easily accessible water source. During the financial year 2012/2013 KES 500,000 was allocated for construction of a concrete water tower and purchase a water tank that could be used by the society to store clean water for convenience.
The project was allocated KES 1,500,000 in the financial year 2013/2014 to rehabilitate the roads i.e murraming ,construction of culverts and improving the drainage system of the roads to reduce flooding. Here is the new look of the fully rehabilitated Musa Gitau roads.

Gikambura Health Center project begun in the year 2007 and it is a fully funded CDF project. When the current CDF took office, they decided to fully complete the project and in the year 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 Kshs. 4,000,000 was allocated. Gikambura Health Center is now a complete project and in use.
