From 7th to 14th March 2018 we held vetting for bursary applicants at various vetting centres across all wards. Our Constituency office staff, CDF office and the Kikuyu, Kinoo, Sigona, Karai and Nachu wards community bursary committee members braved chilly days to get through this rigorous exercise to vet over 4,000 applicants from all wards. In the financial year 2015/2016, Mai-ai-ihii Primary was allocated Kshs. 1,000,000 to construct an exuastable toilet block since the sanitary block they were using was in a dilapidated state and was dangerous for pupils use. Below is how the toilet block looked and the new block of 12 toilets.
In the financial year 2016/2017 Mai-ai-ihii primary was allocated Kshs. 2,000,000 for renovation of 7 classrooms by reinforcing the doors and windows (Plastering, re-roofing, fixing windows panes, flooring , painting and fixing fascial boards).
In the 2015/2016 budget Kshs. 3,980,000 was allocated to finish up on the rehabilitation works that had begun in the previous financial year. Construction of staff houses at Gikambura Health Centre was fully funded by the CDF in the financial year 2014/2015.
In the financial year 2014/2015 KES 2,500,000 was allocated for the construction of the school’s laboratory. The laboratory is now complete and operational.
In the financial year 2014/2015 Riu-Nderi Primary Sch project was allocated KES 1,500,000 for completion of first floor classrooms (phase 2).
