Empowering Our Youth & Women Changing Lives.

Last week we were glad to award Uwezo fund cheques to over 27 women and youth groups at Kinoo and Gikambura. We also donated seats and tents to other groups for their empowerment programs and joined Ndacha Bodaboda group for their mbuzi choma get together. This Week, we have commissioned over 480 people from across the constituency to start a driving course leading to the award of driving licenses including

As part of the ongoing Friends of football tournament in Kikuyu Constituency, last Sunday and yesterday we were at the Sigona ward and Karai ward finals respectively. We also saw the training of 53 youth last week from across the constituency as referees that will be FIFA recognized. Next we are training ten coaches as the tournament moves to the constituency finals. We are also encouraging and assisting the teams

Weekend Things

This weekend after joining H.E The President in Narok on the last mile connectivity and thanksgiving on Friday, On Saturday, we joined the PCEA Undiri church at the award ceremony of their Afya road race and medical camp. Later the same day we were at a forum for the aged at Orthodox Church Thogoto and yesterday after attending different churches in Sigona and Kinoo wards, we attended the Kikuyu Ward

In the past week I witnessed first-hand the energy, zeal and determination of our youth to Transform and Change Lives. In Kinoo last Wednesday I  joined Omondi who had been assaulted by a police officer at his mandazi kiosk and we have been pursuing justice for him from the highest offices of the police Service. Football

The soccer sisters football team captain and coach received  the personal support donation of  Ksh. 25,000 from  the MP on 8th December 2014 the team is travelling to the coast for matches there. It is one of the best ladies teams in Kikuyu.

23 Groups Receive Uwezo Fund Cheques

This Monday Hon Kimani Ichung’wah presided over the award of cheques to the first 23 groups that have qualified for funding from UWEZO fund. Another seven youth groups that he helped register earlier this year received funds from the Youth Enterprise fund. Earlier on, the MP also handed personal support donations to the Soccer sisters football team and AcreTano youth cultural group.
