Uwezo Funds

19th June 2017, We awarded 52 groups comprising of women, youth and other Self-help groups from across the constituency UWEZO cheques amounting to Ksh. 5.4 million. Majority received Ksh 100,000 with several receiving a refinancing of Ksh. 200,000. Since 2014, the fund has seen a total of 219 groups benefit to a tune of Ksh. 18.99 million. Yesterday (12th April 2017) we continued with our groups empowerment tour. Today we met over 89 groups in Lussigeti, Karai Muslim, Ondiri, Kinoo Primary area and finally kinoo market. Empowering Youth and Women Groups

Yesterday (11th March 2017), after paying last respect to a good friend, we joined groups in Kanyayo, Ndiguini, Ndacha and Gichuhiro as we issued the groups with economic empowerment cheques as seed capital for table banking. we also encouraged the groups to access empowerment funds eg Youth fund, women fund and Uwezo fund as these funds are available to groups.

Uwezo Fund Training

Meeting groups from Kikuyu constituency earlier on today (1st March 2017) during the final day of their three day training at Musa Gitau Multipurpose hall. 52 groups attended the workshop facilitated by Uwezo fund on groups capacity building through access to government procurement opportunities.
